abstract = "This study aims to estimate soil loss by erosion in the basin of
the laminar stream Trough - Uberl{\^a}ndia / MG, applying
Equation Universal Soil Loss through geospatial technologies. To
determine the losses of soil erosion by laminar, we used Equation
Universal Soil Loss (USLE), defined by A = R * K * LS * CP. As a
result we have that much of the basin has 84% of the soil loss
less than 6 tons / ha year, and only 10% of the high losses occur,
greater than 18 ton / ha year. To minimize the loss of containment
of soil erosion by laminar is necessary to use conservation
practices such as land cover, contour planting, crop rotation and
use of mulch, etc.. These are some alternatives we have for
curbing the erosion.",
